This app uses the barometric pressure sensor built into all the newer iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch Models sold after 2016 with few exceptions. You need one of these newer devices to use this App. See below which older iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch without this sensor are not supported!
This App features a Barometer for weather, an Altimeter for outdoor activities, a barometric Trend and a Notification Center Widget.
Even without the optional In-App-Purchase this is a fully functional Barometer with absolutely no draw-backs and all important features accessible. Always without ads! (See "Pro Features" at the end). No internet connection required, no data transmitted - runs on your device only!
Keep an eye on the barometric pressure and be your own weather forecast! This little app uses only GPS (optional) and the new barometric pressure sensor to calculate the barometric pressure used in weather forecasts. The new iPhones have a barometric pressure sensor built in so this app works completely without internet. The handy marker helps you keep track of changes in the barometric pressure and lets you predict weather changes! Please realize, that a single barometric pressure reading is not enough to tell the current weather situation but the barometric pressure and its change over time is a very good indicator for weather changes!
Now you can also see the trend in barometric pressure with graph charts displaying the measurements taken during the last 30 days! (6h, 12h, 24h, 3d, 7d, 14d, 30d)
The Altimeter helps you track your altitude changes based on the change of pressure. Just set your reference pressure and altitude in order to use the Altimeter for checking how high up the mountain you have climbed (works for other activities too). The App does not use GPS for the Altimeter.
Please Note that on older devices such as the 4S, 5, 5S and 5C as well as on any iPod Touch and iPad Models older than iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 4 as well as the Apple Watch 1 and 2, this app will not be able to read barometric pressure values and not display any useful information. The first generation 4-inch iPhone SE is not supported - the new SE (2020) is!
All basic features, the Barometer, the Altimeter, the Trend and the Widget are completely free to use for everyone and are fully functional at maximum accuracy available. No ads!
The only features with restricted access via In-App-Purchase are listed at the end under "Pro Features". Those are nice to have features for power users or those that want to show their support for the App!

Great barometer app! Simple and easy to use. I work outside and this is the first app I go to and is great for fishing indicating a low pressure.
I think I will get the Pro version.
This app is a powerful tool that helps me to understand why my pain level increases when I havent done something myself to make it worse. I suffer the effects of 5 bilateral neuralgia, two of them being very rare and not any fun whatsoever.
I would often times wonder why my pain level would increase without me doing any physical activity to explain it. My grandmother suggested that the increase may be related to changes in the barometric pressure. I tried several of the barometric pressure apps before I find found this one. The other apps are a pure waste of time!
I love having the ability to track the trends and view them on a graph. I now have a valuable piece of information they had become an integral part of my treatment plan. When I see that the pressure is beginning to change, I now can take early measures so that my pain wont increase to the level where Im unable to do anything but sit on a recliner.
I flew across the country last month and this app tracked the changes in altitude and pressure. Without knowing when we took off and landed, someone could look at the graph and see exactly when that was by the drastic changes in pressure.

I have been using this application, long time now. I have a chronic Arthritis due to a spine surgery. Reading I found that the pain that I suffer is related to the air pressure, thats when I thought that I need a barometer. Whenever the air pressure changes and I feel the pain, I just open the application and I see the spike. Very accurate. I keep track of every change. The guy who created the app, came from heaven!! Thank you!!!
Straight out, this app was only off by 2 millibars from an aneroid barometer, calibrated at local NWS station.
Tweak difference in elevation and app is right on the money every time!
Will be very useful (and safe) for outings to gulf coast during tropical storm / hurricane season.
I also like how it matches Apples clock & pro version has > 1 scale.
A simple app with a lot of tweaks in the settings that Im still figuring out. The UI is what every app should be, and ad free no less! It is a bit jumpy when I reopen the app about my elevation and this tends to make spikes in my trend curves. However, this could be user error as Im not sure exactly what all the options should be set to. Still, this is the best barometer app Ive found and its very well done.
I am a cancer survivor whos pain depends on the falling of the barometer, this app is great well thought out and works great every time. It helps me prepare for coming changes in pressure. I wish it had an alert for when the pressure falls and it would be perfect.
Some bad moments
I have no idea if this app is just downloading and displaying information from the internet, or using sensors in the phone.
Also the app will not store any data so the trend function is useless.
Finally why do I need to research what the difference between absolute altitude and relative elevation is? Why cant it just simply tell me how high above sea level I am?
frustrating
...please provide an alert feature so I can see sharp changes in barometric pressure. That way I can pop a cold and sinus pill to prevent my inevitable sinus headaches. Thx!
Shows a basic barometer in all the different conversions. Uses the internal barometer, which is cool!
